Colobus Conservation was founded in January 1997 as a not for profit conservation organisation and became registered as a limited company on 5th March 2001. Since that time, the organisation evolved at a considerable rate from just a few people working voluntarily, to a well developed structure with a substantial annual turnover and employing eleven staff members with numerous Kenyan and international volunteers.
